By SARAH GRAHAM This photo shows a delectable close-up of sweets, including a 'cola bottle', 'liquorice', 'Blackjack', and chocolate. The focus point in this image is the 'cola bottle' whereas other candy has been blurred in the background. The 'cola bottle' sweet is the most visual subject making it the most important, because it wants your full attention. The item looks as though it is on a table but also uses other props of the same topic to give itself a structure. In this case, it leans to the left on its back, the clear cream colour defined against the maroon, shiny underneath. The photo has been manipulated in a way to make it seem skillfully painted and look more exhibit-like than it is.

By JOEL PENKMAN This photo shows a selection of the same topic; a 4x3 arrangement of doughnuts with different styles and colours. No two are put next to each other, each subject smartly contrasts by using golden yellows, browns, pinks and white. Artifical filter has made this appear in a painting art form, and shows the 'portraiture' in a bird's-eye view. It represents an abstract sight and shapes are repeated in rows; the texture is smooth looking and each piece of food has been contoured lightly.

By NADY NADHIRA Nady's photography shows her illustrations merged with snacks and food to complete the drawings. This image in particular shows a carefully drawn abnormality initially holding weights but snacks have been used instead of typical poundage on the ends. The dark brown colour infers to the viewer that the creature is serious and using the item responsibly. It also shows a fun and animated bearing so that the critic can feel elation and enjoyment analysing the picture.
